Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 / AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ĥ12 MB DirectX® 9.0c compatible card / NVIDIA® GeForce™ 9800 GTX / ATI Radeon™ HD 4850 Although the engine supports DirectX 8, I strongly recommend not using it since there are crash-related shader errors on some maps when using this renderer that we do not intend to fix.
A: Windows XP is not currently supported.
We also do not have any team members who use this outdated Operating System. Someone who has worked on Open Xray did give the bins built with these settings to a Win XP SP3 user at one point but it would not run on his system. The engine binaries were compiled on Visual Studio 2013 which only has support for Windows XP SP3 and only if it is compiled with certain settings.
A: Sorry, there is no Windows XP support at this time.
Q: Does Call of Chernobyl have Windows XP support?.
Run InnounpW.exe and select the installer.exe then unpack.
If you have any of these problems, download Innounp which will allow you to unpack the installation manually. Also, people have reported the failure to detect CoP installation in your Windows registry. Our installer is not digitally signed and some users have reported xrParticles.dll being silently removed by their anti-virus software.
A: Some anti-virus software flags installers created with innosetup as a virus.
Q: The installer is not working properly on my system, is there a workaround?.
Those are included in the CoC setup and installed by default.
You need DirectX End-User Runtimes 2010.
You need Visual C++ Redist 2013 x86, if game fails to launch due to missing msvcr120.dll.
Preferably out of the program files folder (or you'll have to launch the game as administrator). S.T.A.L.K.E.R._-_Call_of_Chernobyl_setup.exeChange the default installation path to a new, dedicated folder. Make sure the installer files are all named as follows: Make sure it has the same name as the other files. If you downloaded the installer from Mega, it will rename the setup.exe. The installer also requires you to have a legal copy of Call of Pripyat installed on your system, this doesn't matter if it's GoG, Steam or boxed versions of the game.ĬoC is a standalone and use it's own engine, don't install it over CoP. It is not recommended to have your install located in Program Files where your OS is installed. Simply run the executable and follow the steps on screen.
A: Call of Chernobyl is packaged inside an installer.
